Adrienne Ellis is an associate with Chehardy Sherman Williams in the Healthcare section. She is board-certified in health law in Louisiana and focuses on representing healthcare providers such as hospitals, surgery centers, physicians, and group practices. She assists clients with negotiating a wide range of contracts, from mergers and acquisitions to employment and services agreements. She also advises clients on healthcare operations and regulatory issues, including HIPAA, Medicare reimbursement, medical staff bylaws, and fraud and abuse laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and False Claims Act.
Ms. Ellis attended Davidson College where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 2011, she graduated from Columbia University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. She was a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar during law school.
Before joining Chehardy Sherman Williams, Ms. Ellis was an associate at Jones Walker handling healthcare, corporate compliance & white collar crime. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association, Health Law Section; the American Health Lawyers Association; the Louisiana State Bar Association; and the Louisiana Hospital Association, Attorney Division.
