John D. “Dan” Miranda is an associate with Chehardy Sherman Williams in the Hammond office. Mr. Miranda practices in the areas of general and commercial litigation, personal injury, construction, and estate planning and successions for individual and corporate clients. He has extensive litigation and appellate experience in federal and state courts, including issues of federal constitutional law. Mr. Miranda received a preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory regarding legal ability and adherence to ethical standards, professional reliability and diligence.
Mr. Miranda graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University and received his Juris Doctor degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was an LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship recipient and A.J. Spedale Scholarship recipient.
Mr. Miranda is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, St. Tammany Parish Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association. He holds licenses to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and all state and district appellate court of Louisiana.
Mr. Miranda is on the Board of Directors of the St. Tammany Chamber PAC and is an active member of the St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce’s Advocacy and Public Policy Committee. As an active resident of the Northshore, he served on the Greenleaves Plantation HOA Board of Directors and is a member of the Men’s Club of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Mandeville. Mr. Miranda is also an Honorary Deacon of St. Michael Baptist Church in LaPlace.
