Mr. Stakelum is a graduate of Tulane University where he also received his Juris Doctor degree, was a Senior Fellow in legal writing and research, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. As a member of Tulane’s Law Review, he published Modification of Renunciation of Warranty in Louisiana Sales Transactions, 46 Tulane L. Rev. 894 (1972). He has attended the Attorney-Mediators Institute and received Mediation Training from the American Arbitration Association, where he currently serves on the Commercial Arbitration Panel. Mr. Stakelum was an Assistant Examiner for Corporations, Partnerships and Negotiable Instruments for the Committee on Bar Associations; a member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council; and was appointed as a Louisiana State Bar Association House Delegate.

As a resident of New Orleans’ Northshore, Mr. Stakelum is an active member of the Flower Estates Civic Association serving as a board member, president, and vice president. He was also a board member for Tammany Together, Inc.
