Matthew Pertuit Receives the 2022 Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award in Louisiana
Matthew Pertuit, an associate at Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Recile and Hayes specializing in complex personal injury litigation, received the prestigious Top 10 Under 40 Attorney Award in Louisiana for 2022 from the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys (NAOPIA).

Pertuit, 34, has only been with Chehardy Sherman Williams since 2019 but has distinguished himself as a team player passionate about getting his clients the justice they deserve. Matthew has also been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyer Rising Star in the plaintiff personal injury division. Partner James Williams said, “Matthew gets results. Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, Pertuit received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. He earned his Master’s Degree in History from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2020. He resides in Mandeville, Louisiana, with his wife, Chey, and their daughter, Sophie.
