Adam M. Stumpf is a business attorney with Chehardy Sherman Williams handling business transactional matters, including sale and mergers of businesses, contract drafting and review, licenses, zoning, and employee issues and disputes. In addition to his transactional practice, Mr. Stumpf handles commercial collections and business disputes prior to and including litigation. Mr. Stumpf has developed an extensive medical provider litigation background, representing hospitals, doctors and surgical facilities, and has recovered more than $1 million for his healthcare provider clients who have been underpaid for their services.
Mr. Stumpf has been named a New Orleans CityBusiness “Money Maker” and a New Orleans CityBusiness Top Lawyer for multiple years, and he has received the Legal Excellence Award for the Highest Grade in Contracts. Mr. Stumpf has also been recognized by his peers with an AV Preeminent Rating for Professional Excellence by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Mr. Stumpf has served as an Appellate Clerk to the Honorable Henry N. Brown of the Second Circuit Court of Appeal in the State of Louisiana and as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Robert “Bob” Murphy of the Twenty-fourth Judicial District Court in the State of Louisiana.
In conjunction with his legal practice, Mr. Stumpf is actively engaged in the Greater New Orleans community holding leadership positions with several civic organizations. He serves as Vice Chairperson of the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority’s Board of Commissioners, Vice Chairperson of Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans, and a board member of the Lakeview Civic Improvement Association.
