Associate William Macaluso in New Orleans, LA

William Macaluso is an associate with Chehardy Sherman Williams specializing in criminal defense, civil litigation, and aviation practice.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Macaluso had his own practice and was Of Counsel to the Twenty-First Judicial District Office of the Public Defender, handling conflicted cases in a three-parish district ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanor offenses in both the district and juvenile courts.

Mr. Macaluso graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and holds a Master of Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate with cum laude honors.

Mr. Macaluso is a skilled aviator with extensive operational experience in US Air Force fighter aircraft as well as other high-performance, complex aircraft and possesses a FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with a Boeing 737-type rating. In addition, Mr. Macaluso has completed the US Air Force Aircraft Mishap Investigation Course, has experience in aircraft mishap investigations, and has served as Chief of Flight Safety. Mr. Macaluso is a member of the Twenty-First Judicial District Bar Association and the Louisiana Bar Association.
