Conroy Law Firm Attorneys Join Longtime New Orleans Area Firm

METAIRIE, LA—Chehardy Sherman Williams and the Conroy Law Firm announce a merger between the two local firms. Conroy Law Firm brings attorneys Stephen K. Conroy and Amanda D. Hogue to the Chehardy Sherman Williams practice, a leading law firm in the Greater New Orleans area since 1989.

Stephen K. Conroy is a graduate of Tulane University (B.A. and J.D.). He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar and has been admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Conroy began his legal career as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Peter H. Beer, Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Charles Schwartz, Jr., U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. He is a Charter Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. Mr. Conroy belongs to the Fifth and Eleventh Federal Circuit Bars, Louisiana State Bar, New Orleans Bar, Jefferson Parish Bar, St. Tammany Parish Bar, American Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. He is an honoree of Super Lawyers and was named by New Orleans Magazine as a Top Lawyer. He was also a recipient of CityBusiness’ Leadership in Law Award. Mr. Conroy practices in the areas of civil litigation, corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, business litigation, commercial litigation, product liability, business torts, franchise law, and construction law.

Amanda Hogue is a Specialist in Estate Planning and Administration. She earned Bachelor of Science degrees from Florida State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review. She also earned a Master of Laws from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. Ms. Hogue was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009 and has been admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She is a member of the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, the 22nd JDC Bar Association, the 24th JDC Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association. Her practice includes estate planning, successions and succession litigation, commercial and business litigation, including complex civil litigation, contract preparation and negotiation, corporate governance, entity formation and organization, and general corporate and business law.
